Technology Blog

Welcome to the Weber High School Technology Blog. On this blog you will find a variety of technology tools, pages explaining individual tools, a link to the Weber High School Website, a list of professional development sessions and dates for Weber High School faculty and staff, and posts about different technologies. As the 2013-2014 school year progresses the blog will contain more information, provide the handouts from the professional development sessions and allow teachers quick access to exploring technology. If you have questions, email Ashley Williams at aswilliams@wsd.net or leave a comment on one of the blog posts. Enjoy exploring technology!

Panopto

Panopto is an incredible resource for teachers!  As a teacher I have always worried about what to leave with a substitute, whether they would teach what I needed them to, or wondered what my students actually heard.  With Panopto, all of this changes.  Panopto allows you to record your PowerPoint presentations while recording you at the same time.  The students will get all of the information you want them to hear, will see your PowerPoint, and the best part is you can upload it to Moodle or to your blog and all of the absent students can stay caught up. Weber School District has purchased a license and several million hours of recording time.  We will teach you how to complete your recordings at our October 2013 professional development trainings.  In the mean time, check out these resources.
